Mason Cash In The Meadow Tulip Mug 400 ml, green
With its 400ml capacity , you can let your sourdough starter rise in the mug, for example, or use it to store milk for making homemade cottage cheese. It is just as good for making tea or as a breakfast mug for white coffee or cocoa. The mug is decorated with a reactive glaze featuring contrasting images of tulips, meadow flowers and flying butterflies to fit in with the concept of the In the Meadow collection. The precise work is reminiscent of the linocut technique.

Gently flowering kitchen - In the Meadow collection
The collection consists of 3 Mason Cash bowls with embossed floral designs in cream, pale yellow and unusual purple, as in the Nautical collectionagain a stoneware bowl with a handle and abatter bowl, this time in creamand a set of 4 small, multi-purpose bowls in soft pastel colours.
A large cream colored 4 liters capacity mixing bowl with a decor dominated by blooming roses, a medium sized decadent purple "daisy" bowl with a 2.7 litre 'narcissus' and a small 1.1 litre 'narcissus', all again designed to be perfectly stackable, as well as small bowls, each with a capacity of 175 ml. The dough bowl with handle and spout has a capacity of just under 2 litres(1.9 l).
In the summer of 2023, 2 work bowls will be added - a lilac, i.e. soft purple, with a predominant tulip motif and a 2 litre capacity, and a small bowl, the so-called "dough bowl". The 900 ml pudding bowl in dark pink, again with a motif of blooming roses. The collection was also completed by two 400ml mugs with a distinctive motif of daisies and tulips on a light grey or light green background.
The floral decoration on the mugs is not embossed, unlike the one on the bowls, but rather resembles a linocut, but it complements the collection very nicely.
Motifs of spring and summer flowers that appear on all parts of the collection,are characterised by the perfect craftsmanship, so typical of the brand's products.
Mason Cash = pieces of old England that you just have to love
The origins of the brand, under which sumptuous English stoneware is sold, go back to the pottery in the town of Church Gresley in the early 19th century. at the heart of the English pottery industry. The town was close to both the sources of raw material and the fuel needed for the kilns, and was perfectly situated for transport. The pottery industry prospered, characterised by white and cane-coloured kitchen vessels as a result of the colouring of the local clay. Initially the pottery was run by several masters, the most prominent of whom was William "Bossy" Mason, after whom it was eventually named. In 1901, Tom Cash bought the firm and renamed it Mason Cash & Co, and in the same year the firsticonic bowl, the design of which has seen little change to this day. And yet it still has a place in today's kitchen. Or is that why?
