Opinel Parallèle slicing knife 16 cm

A slicing knife with a lacquered beech handle from Opinel, which allows you to easily slice poultry roasts, as well as parts of lamb or poultry.

Wood, simplicity and efficiency, all these qualities are combined in Opinel kitchen knives. This collection will be of particular interest if you are setting up your first kitchen and are looking for quality knives that you will definitely appreciate as a chef. Handle made of beech wood, which has excellent mechanical properties. The beech handles are varnished with a varnish that was very carefully selected to refine the beech wood itself.

Wood
95% of the wood used to make the handles comes from sustainably managed French forests. There is no excessive deforestation and no air pollution during long transport – all of this means less strain on nature. The main wood supplier has its forests in the French Jura region and is of course PEFC certified.

Stainless steel
The choice of steel is very important, as it is one of the most important materials of the knife itself. It determines the durability and quality of the blade itself. For the Opinel Parallèle knives, high-quality stainless steel 50CrMoV15 was chosen. All knives in this collection are made from a single piece of this pressed stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion and ensures a perfect cut.

Opinel - a design icon
The story of the now iconic Opinel brand begins in the 19th century, when merchant Victor-Amédée Opinel learned to forge nails during his travels and subsequently founded his forge in France. After his death, his son Daniel took over the craft, becoming the local farmers' "sharps maker" because the blades of his sickles and scythes were widely acclaimed as the sharpest possible. However, the real Opinel - a folding pocket knife - had to wait a while for its discovery. Daniel Opinel's eldest son, Joseph, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and, driven by artistic passion, combined handcrafting with the most modern technology at the time and created a small miracle. The year was 1890 and the Opinel folding pocket knife saw the light of day, a knife loved from day one and passed down from generation to generation. The knife, which over the years has gained hundreds of thousands of fans around the world, has become a common part of many households and, in a way, one of the symbols of all of France...
Nowadays, the company produces not only legendary folding outdoor knives, but also has a sophisticated kitchen program, including forged kitchen knives; today you can also buy stainless steel cutlery and steak knives from the Opinel brand.

We offer the option of picking up at thousands of delivery points in the GLS and Balíkovna networks. Delivery to the delivery point is cheaper and offers greater flexibility, you can pick up the shipment when it suits you.
Please note, however, that there is a limited time for which the shipment will be available at the pick-up point.
Usually, the shipment must be picked up within 2-3 business days.
