Nordic Ware was founded in 1946 by husband and wife team Dorothy and Dave Dalquist. With $500 in their pockets, a few good ideas, and a desire to start their own business, a humble cookware company was born in the basement of their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Initially, Nordic Ware's product range consisted of just a few items, most of which were specialty Scandinavian cookware products, but times have changed!
More than 75 years later, Nordic Ware still proudly manufactures the vast majority of its products in Minneapolis. Hundreds of other items have been added to those original Scandinavian products. They have grown from two employees to hundreds, and their products are distributed worldwide.

Nordic Ware's most famous product is undoubtedly the Bundt® cake pan, with its center hole that allows cakes to bake evenly and its elegant symmetry that makes slicing and serving easier. The Bundt® cake pan became famous when it was used to bake the winning cake in a national baking competition. The pan found its way into the hearts and homes of people around the world, and cakes became a beloved tradition at countless gatherings and family celebrations.
